Church Rota

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him.

1 John 4.7-9

Churches are now being allowed to open for private prayer and public worship under limited circumstances. Each Wednesday from 10.00 to 12.00 and each Sunday from 2.00 – 4.00pm Willen Church is open for private prayer. There will be hand sanitiser at the door. We are reliant on voluntary work for the necessary hygiene precautions so may not always be able to allow free access as much as we would like. Please keep your distance.

Can you help Willen Church raise £2000 to reclaim and maintain the beautiful grounds of Willen Village church, a Grade I listed building, for the benefit of the many visitors.? Please donate to their JustGiving Crowdfunding Page.

We are an ecumenical congregation comprising Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches in a formal L.E.P. (Local Ecumenical Partnership). We welcome people of any faith background to worship with us.

Sunday services are held at 9.30am in the church, except for the first Sunday in each month when a Holy Communion service is held at 8.30am, with an All Age Family Service held in church at 9.30am. The All Age Worship is devised and led by members of the congregation under the guidance of the Minister and attracts a large number of families from the area, some of whom have very young children and consequently do not feel as comfortable attending a more formal church service.

On Second and Fourth Sundays there is a 9.30am Holy Communion service following a variety of Christian traditions and on third Sundays at 9.30am Morning Worship.

Please come and join us on Sunday.

You are also welcome to come and look around the church. Its simplicity and grace of style is well worth appreciating at first hand. The church is kept open during daylight hours for all visitors to find peace and quiet and perhaps offer a personal prayer. If you are planning to visit at a particular time, a phone call to check is recommended so we can ensure the church is open for you.

For the latest news and forthcoming events see our Weekly Newsheet.

If you would like to apply for church membership, please complete a membership form and consent form.
